Hello! My name is Ananth Mepperla. I am an eager student looking to apply the skills I have learned and also looking to add more skills to my repertoire. I am a rising senior at Arizona State currently pursuing a BS in Computer Information Stystems. I have work experiance in the IT field.
Work Experience
Worked under two departments: Procurement and IT/Enterprise Business Applications
Procurement: Produced invoices on Excel for SBM's day to day operational and resource costs.
Applied and demonstrated advanced Excel skills. Learned basic and advanced functions on J.D.
Edwards(JDE)
IT/Enterprise Business Applications: Technical Writer for SBM's Confluence platform. Worked with
the team to make sure project documentation are up to date and detailed. Contributed to
various types of projects: API's, Database's, Applications, wireframes, etc. Made various data flows,
charts and diagrams to support documentation. Took lead on documenting a project that bypassed the delay
in JDE for processing PSC's during the payroll run, employee information does not flow to downstream
systems which prevented new (or rehired) employees from accessing critical resources till the payroll
run ended.
Tested and documented SBM’s hiring application website. Tested and helped design application form that
would be viable for an OCR(optical character recognition). Advanced Confluence user.
Head of Marketing: Find and research strategies that will appeal to our targeted consumers. For
example, searching, picking, and working with brand ambassadors, who will promote our merchandise on
social media and other platforms.
Webmaster: Keep the website up to date, with new updates, blogs, and releases of merchandise.
Make sure our inventory is always up to date, so our customers don't buy a product we are out of.
Lastly, keep the website appealing to our targeted customers and to the owners liking.
Brand Ambassador: Promote merchandise by advertising on social media and other platforms.
Community Assistant: Ensure data integrity and confidential information of 463 current residents
and
thousands of prospective residents. Experience generating a variety of
insightful reports from our customer database systems. Provided great
customer service in the leasing office and while on call. Attended to on call
situations professionally and in a timely manner.
Certifications
Python is a very powerful programming language used for many different applications. Over time, the huge
community around this open source language has created quite a few tools to efficiently work with
Python. In recent years, a number of tools have been built specifically for data science. As a result,
analyzing data with Python has never been easier.
In this practical course, you will start from the very beginning, with basic arithmetic and variables,
and learn how to handle data structures, such as Python lists, Numpy arrays, and Pandas DataFrames.
Along the way, you'll learn about Python functions and control flow. Plus, you'll look at the world of
data visualizations with Python and create your own stunning visualizations based on real data.
Beginning with an explanation of how internet servers and clients work together to deliver applications to users, this course then takes you through the context for application development in the Cloud,
introducing front-end, back-end, and full-stack development.
You’ll then focus on the languages you need for front-end development, working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
This course aims to teach everyone the basics of programming computers using Python. We cover the basics of how one constructs a program from a series of simple instructions in Python. The course has no pre-requisites
and avoids all but the simplest mathematics. Anyone with moderate computer experience should be able to master the materials in this course. This course will cover Chapters 1-5 of the textbook “Python for Everybody”.
Once a student completes this course, they will be ready to take more advanced programming courses. This course covers Python 3..
Extra Curricular
Subtle Telugu Traits is Facebook group that I created in the March of 2019, initially to provide a platform for my generation to be able to share relatable content, have discussions, but more importantly to share memes. There are other "subtle" meme pages, for specific ethnicity's in the world, so I thought of making a meme page that would be more targeted towards a specific region/dialect in India. All memes put aside, I would like to say the group is more of a community then anything else. The page has 38,865 and growing members by the day! To make sure out community is safe zone, I have a group of moderators, along with myself, who go through and approve posts and member requests, to make sure all content is appropriate. Our members come from all over the world, Australia, US, Germany, and more. 35K is very large amount, but there is very big sense of community and support for one and other inside the group, whether that be showing support to each other on posts and threads or simply following each other on social media. We as a page talk about issues that are happening not only in our own community but the world itself. Recently as a page we raised $1,500 to donate towards the Black Lives Matter movement. All in all members have grown close to their current friends and have grown close enough to their new internet pen-pals, that a lot of people took the extra step of putting a FaceTime Contact to a face! I personally am grateful for the friends I have made and have grown close from the page.
In my journey to becoming an Eagle Scout I had to organize and lead a community service project in which I showcased my leadership, organizational, and planning skills. For my Eagle Scout project I built two shoe racks at a Hindu temple. At Hindu places of worship, wearing footwear and walking inside the common hall where the deities are present is prohibited. My Eagle Project helped the visiting devotees keep their footwear at one place and in an organized fashion this helps both devotees and temple organization from being a mess and having a pool of shoes spread out all over the place. I led a group of volunteers from start to finish on how to properly build the shoe racks.
